Plymouth Fan Shroud

Your engine works hard to keep your vehicle running.  The engine gets very hot and needs your cooling system to prevent it from overheating.  Other parts of the engine use some of the heat for different automotive functions while the cooling system disburses as much as 1/3 of the engine’s heat.  The primary component of your cooling system is the radiator fan.  Your radiator fan is made up of three essential parts: the fan motor, fan blade, and fan shroud.  All three must be in working order for the entire unit to function.  The fan motor runs the radiator fan.  The fan blades are curved and spin to create the air flow.  Your Plymouth fan shroud encloses the fan and directs the air through while preventing it from blowing back through.  It helps the air to stay cool and concentrated.  Your fan shroud must be in good condition to do its job properly.  If you’ve found even the smallest crack in the fan shroud, it will need to be replaced.
