Infiniti Fan Motor

If you are planning to spend a vacation out of town, have your vehicle inspected, tuned up and sure-ready first before starting to travel. During long trips, the engine works harder and often heats up more than the usual short-distance day to day trips. In situation such as this, it is advisable that you double check on your car’s cooling system. This is because malfunctioning cooling system components can lead to serious problems such as overheating. Some of the most important cooling system components that you should regularly check on are the radiator, water pump, and the cooling fan.

According to an expert, the efficiency of the car’s cooling system is 50 percent dependent upon the water and capacity of the radiator, and 50 percent upon the fan’s ability to pull air through the radiator. If you decide to replace your radiator with a bigger one, make sure that you upgrade also the fan to draw in sufficient cool air that will be needed to cool the engine, hence overheating can be prevented. The cooling fan is usually placed between the radiator and the engine, but some automobiles employ additional fans right in front of the radiator to push supplementary cool air toward the engine.

Further, cooling fans come either as a crankshaft-driven connected by a temperature-sensitive viscous coupling, or one that is driven by an electric motor. It is basically made up of different components but the vital ones are the fan blade and the fan motor. A fan blade is a propeller-like device that projects at an angle from the central hub which draws the air through the radiator, while a fan motor is an electrically operated motor responsible for driving the radiator fan. Fan motors like the Infiniti fan motor is designed to permit a lot more freedom in the radiator location and engine bay design and allows the engine to cool off after operation or when it is switched off.

Fan motors should be durable enough to ensure proper rotation of the fan blades and therefore provide enough air to regulate the temperature from heating up too high by pulling air through the radiator. Should you need to replace a defective fan motor, you can start browsing our comprehensive catalogue and find what you are looking for. Here at Parts Train, we offer great deals of Infiniti parts and accessories especially fan motors. Check it now!
