Eagle Fan Clutch

Clutches are very efficient devices used to engage and disengage all types of planetary gears in domestic, industrial, and automotive applications. A typical example of a common device that uses a clutch is the cooling fan. This device is very important and is present in your homes, warehouses, and even in your Eagle auto. The viscous clutch works under the influence of the temperature surrounding it. The clutch fluid in it thickens when the temperature heats up, making the fan blades spin so much easier and faster to bring enough cooling not only to the engine but to the entire under-the-hood components. This helps prevent the damages that could be incurred by the metal parts of your vehicle from too much heat. As the fan works, the temperature will start to drop, letting the fan clutch fluid cool off and turn back to its original fluid-like structure. This will enable the fan blades to slow down to keep the temperature from dropping below the required operating point. When the proper operating temperature is reached, the fan clutch helps regulate such temperature for the engine’s efficient operation.
