As the fan works, the temperature will start to drop, letting the fan clutch fluid cool off and turn back to its original fluid-like structure. This will enable the fan blades to slow down to keep the temperature from dropping below the required operating point. When the proper operating temperature is reached, the fan clutch helps regulate such temperature for the engine’s efficient operation.
