Ford is known for radically changing the way automobiles were manufactured. It used Eli Whitney’s idea of making cars in large scale by means of an assembly line that uses interchangeable parts. The new technique of mass production made it easier to put car parts together, lowered production costs and increased product reliability. It boosted Ford’s production and sales, making it the leading auto manufacturer in the United States. By the end of 1913, half of the total number of cars produced in the US carried a Ford badge. Before the introduction of the world’s first moving assembly line, Ford spends 12 ½ hours to assemble a whole chassis while the new method allowed Ford to assemble it in just 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Today Ford continues to contribute to the automotive industry with its highly remarkable cars, trucks and SUVs that include the Ford Mustang, Ford GT, Ford Escape, Ford Explorer and Ford Expedition. Here at Parts Train, Ford’s century-old tradition of excellence is renewed as we provide you the most extensive line of premium quality Ford parts. They are sourced from the most trusted auto parts manufacturers so you can trust that they can provide you long and lasting service. Parts Train features the most dependable engine parts perfect for your Ford vehicle. Like your original Ford engine parts they are designed for your engine’s ultimate performance. Made from top grade materials, they are sure to endure your Ford engine’s tough work.

The engine system is one of the most vital systems in an auto since it is in charge of converting the air-fuel mixture into rotary motion that propels your wheels. Power is produced when the air and fuel mixture is ignited in the engine. It is transmitted to the wheels through the drivetrain. But before that, it goes through the combustion process. Usually there are four to eight pistons moving up and down in the cylinder. In the first stroke of the piston, the air and fuel mixture is drawn into the combustion chamber and on its second stroke, it is compressed. Then the spark plug fires and ignites the mixture. This creates a power expansion of the vapor and the piston is pushed down the cylinder with great amount of force, thereby, rotating the crankshaft. Power is then produced while the burned gas is expelled through the exhaust system as the piston goes down the cylinder again.
