The nitrogen oxide, also called as the laughing gas for its euphoric effects, is formed when the fuel is burning at over 2, 500 degrees Fahrenheit. It is the major cause of air pollution, mainly photochemical smog. Smog is formed when strong sunlight hits the exhaust gasses that come out of the vehicles’ exhaust systems. With its high contribution to the progress of air pollution, the automotive engineers have figured out that they need to do something to lower the peak combustion temperatures which only occurred under certain high load driving conditions. They came out to the idea of adding something to the combustion chamber that would act like sort of a fire extinguisher to cool the combustion temperatures that would do it.

Way back in 1972, the automotive engineers used the EGR valve in attempt to reduce the emissions from the vehicle’s engine. The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) is an integral part of a vehicle emission control system or EGR system. It is the key to the most efficient production of engine power and performance since it is able to control the emissions of nitrous oxides by reducing combustion temperature. Basically, the EGR valve does this by sending some of the exhaust gas through the intake manifold back into the cylinders. Since exhaust gas most often doesn’t burn, it stays and takes up space in the combustion chamber and lowers the temperature.

Most automobiles nowadays are equipped with the EGR valve, including the Mitsubishi vehicles. The Mitsubishi EGR valve is mounted on the vehicle’s intake manifold to assist in controlling the pollution and in preserving the detonation in the combustion chambers of the engine. It plays a role in the smooth operation of the Mitsubishi’s engine. By discouraging detonation, the Mitsubishi EGR valve helps the engine to run at its best, decreasing the wear and stress placed upon the other vital engine parts.

Detonation, on the other hand is the explosion of fuel in the combustion chambers rather than the clean burn of fuel. It can cause damage to the engine, creating intense heat and pressure that can cause the failure of critical seals and delicate parts. Aside from the inefficient engine performance and poor fuel economy, detonation can also increase the level of pollution produced in the emissions of the vehicle. Other typical symptoms of faulty EGR valve include engine knock, reduced performance and excessive emissions, especially the nitrogen oxide emissions.

If you are experiencing detonation, then consider replacing your EGR valve Mitsubishi. Search only for the highest quality EGR valve Mitsubishi. Here at Parts Train, you are sure not to be misleading since only quality automotive EGR valve is what we offer.
