Honda Door Panels

Honda door panel is actually comprised of four types of panels that cover the different parts of the automobile door. These panels include the back interior panel, the front interior panel, the rear interior panel, and the slider interior panel. Although the frames and exterior skin of automobile doors are metallic, interior door panels are typically constructed out of wooden or composite materials. Door panels serve as covering for the internal structure of the door mechanism, including the window mechanism (either electronic or manual mechanism), electronic circuits and lock mechanism. Door panels are not only structural protections; they are also aesthetic accessories that provide a sense of style. Some door panels are constructed out of wood materials to add an elegant appeal to the interior design of the car. On the other hand, some door panels are constructed out of composite materials including wood, rubber, and fiber glass for structural integrity. Door panels typically have complex surface structure that supports the window control lever or buttons and the lock mechanism. Door panels may also have slots intended to hold tools and documents.

Door panels, such as the Honda door panel, are typically securely attached to the door frame by a set of clips. These clips can easily be detached by using a commercially available trim pad remover. There are instances where you may need to remove the door panel. For example, it is necessary to remove the door panel if you want to replace the power or mechanical window of your vehicle. Automobile window has a mechanism that is located inside the door, covered by the door panel. The Automobile window slides up and down and is operated by a mechanical actuator that is either attached to a motor or a crank lever. The door panel provides structural support for the window mechanism while protecting it. Replacing the side mirror, on the other hand, also require the removal of the door panel. Since the bolt of the side mirror window can only be accessed inside the door frame, removing the door panel is necessary to expose the side mirror bolt.

Door panels serve both functional and decorative purpose for the automobile. They serve to cover the internal structure and mechanisms of the automobile door. Window mechanism, electronic components and lock mechanisms of the automobile door are protected and structurally supported by the door panel. The door panel also has some external compartments that can be used as storage for tools and documents. On the other hand, door panels add elegance to the interior design of the vehicle.
