This process disengages the clutch from the spinning engine and allows it to spin at different speed.
Due to constant strain applied to the clutch disc every time it engages and disengages with the spinning engine, its wear is unavoidable. The first component that usually receives its share of everyday wear and tear is the clutch lining. This is a normal wear in the clutch assembly and needs periodic replacement. But when this is left unchanged, it can incur too much damage to the disc and can lead to its untimely demise.
