Suzuki Clutch |
| The clutch of your car’s transmission system serves as the switch that controls the flow of torque from the engine to the transmission. As you apply force on the clutch pedal, the flow of torque is stopped. This happens as you press your foot on the pedal. As you return your foot on its normal position, the torque is freely transmitted so off your car goes.
The clutch system of your car is made up of four inter related components - the pressure plate, the clutch disc, the flywheel and the release bearing. Just like the tires, these clutch parts can be easily subjected to wear and tear since it must go through its daily routine of engaging and disengaging the engine, that is, controlling the flow of torque from the engine to the transmission system of your auto.
Of the four components, the clutch disc gets most of the abuse. It is usually the first component that must be replaced since it is actually designed to perform most of the jobs. The clutch disc goes through extreme pressure as it absorbs the friction exerted by the steel surfaces of the pressure plates and fly wheel. The dampening springs mounted in its center hub absorbs the vibration brought about by the disengagement process. As it goes through this routine, the friction material goes off. If this happens, the surface of the clutch disc will become too thin which can eventually lead to the inefficiency of the clutch assembly to handle the torque coming from the engine. In such case, the other components have to exert extra effort to carry out the task of the clutch assembly. And so, they may go through extreme wear and tear. In the end, the components will be too exhausted to perform their function. So there goes your car, parked up in your garage.
If such thing happens to your Saturn clutch assembly, the best move that you can do is to purchase new replacements. Be sure to check your car’s clutch components especially the clutch disc brakes to see if it is in need of new replacement. You may have to compromise the over all condition of your car if you fail to note such defects. Suzuki clutch replacements are widely available in online stores like Partstrain. It is the best place to go if you want to ensure quality and performance tied up with a price that would be worth the money you are willing to spend.
