Nothing can match the thrill of driving down an open road with in a car that can pump up over a hundred miles per hour. Driving in high-speeds can be a very dangerous if you do not have total control over your vehicle, especially the gears. How slow or fast you go on the lane totally depends on the gears you choose. Changing gears is made possible by means of the clutch installed in the vehicle. The clutch is a device in the engine transmission that’s intended for engaging and disengaging the engine to the gearbox.

The clutch used in many vehicles varies in design and two of the most common styles are the diaphragm spring clutch and the lever style clutch. The typical clutch used today is based on the friction discs that are pressed firmly together or next to the flywheel by means of springs. The actual work of the clutch is actually a complex matter that involves a lot of components. Aside from the flywheel, friction disc and springs it also puts into play the cable or hydraulic piston and release bearing.

Each time you step on the clutch pedal all of these parts start a cycle that either engage or disengage the engine from the transmission allowing change in speed. The engine is said to be engaged when power is able to flow to the transmission; the reverse happens when it is disengaged. With this kind of task, you can just imagine the constant tress and pressure that the clutch has to put up with. For this reason it is understandable if your clutch will tend to malfunction. Proper maintenance must always be observed so that the properties of the clutch will not immediately get worn.

All cars regardless of the make or model have a clutch installed in them. Whether the car operates through manual or automatic transmission a clutch is something that is cannot do without. The Land Rover vehicles for instance are designed with both the manual and automatic transmission. The driver also has some options to the speed because some Land Rover vehicles have 5-speed and others have 6-speed transmission. If you feel your car is showing some signs of a malfunctioning clutch you can come to Parts Train and for sure you will find high quality Land Rover clutch in our stock. With Parts Train you can be assured of excellence in the quality of our products as well as its affordability.
