Every Daewoo model is equipped with highly efficient systems that operate to make every drive safe, comfortable, and of optimum performance. In turn, all these systems consist of high quality components that work altogether to make each system function at its best. There are individual systems in-charge with the individual aspects of driving – handling and control, stopping, fuel regulation, exhaust emission, and many others. All these systems are important, but many will perhaps agree that the most important of these is the braking system.
Whatever Daewoo model you drive, you surely want the safest in your every stop. This aspect of driving is handled by the braking system. This system is integral to all makes and models of vehicles, without which driving is impossible, not to say very dangerous. Your access to the brakes of your Daewoo is the brake pedal. However, you must know that there are still different components that work to bring your entire vehicle to a halt. Whenever you step on the pedal, you are actually delivering the force that will trigger the wheels to stop. This force is handled by different braking components – the master cylinder, the calipers, the pads, and finally, the brake discs or the rotors.
Everything ends in the brake rotors, the components that provide the surface to which the brake pads will clamp. Each wheel of your auto is equipped with a rotor, a disc that spins with the spinning wheel. It is composed of two side by side surfaces, with each surface partnered with a brake pad. For each rotor, there are two brake pads. When you step on the brake pedal, the force that you exert will be sent to the calipers through the brake fluid and will push the pads against the spinning brake disc. The contact between the pad and the rotor’s surface will create friction, the main element that stops the discs, and the wheels, from spinning.
Without the brake discs, production of friction cannot take place. And without friction, your Daewoo will not be able to stop. It is therefore important to take good care of the brake discs installed in your auto. They need to be regularly inspected to ensure that they are still capable of handling their task. When you or your local mechanic finds out that your vehicle’s rotors are already failing, you must replace them immediately. Shop with Parts Train for high quality rotors.
