For each rotor, there are two brake pads. When you step on the brake pedal, the force that you exert will be sent to the calipers through the brake fluid and will push the pads against the spinning brake disc. The contact between the pad and the rotor’s surface will create friction, the main element that stops the discs, and the wheels, from spinning.

Without the brake discs, production of friction cannot take place. And without friction, your Daewoo will not be able to stop. It is therefore important to take good care of the brake discs installed in your auto. They need to be regularly inspected to ensure that they are still capable of handling their task.
