“The Ultimate Driving Machine”—that’s what BMW vehicles are called. BMW has always been praised for designing and manufacturing vehicles that embodies both luxury and performance at their best. But luxury and performance are not the only characteristics to be found in every BMW vehicle. At the same level as luxury and performance, safety is also well integrated at the core of each and every BMW. New safety features like the Active Knee Protection, All Season Traction (AST), BMW Assist with Bluetooth® Wireless Technology, Head Protection System (HPS), ISIS, and Xenon Adaptive Headlights makes every BMW passenger safer and every BMW driver more confident to drive. And to think, these are just the additional safety features added to the standard safety features that BMW vehicles have long been equipped with.
But before we praise all of the new safety features that each and every new BMW vehicle is equipped with, lets first focus our attentions at the parts that has long been essential in protecting every BMW passenger and driver from possible accidents or collisions. Among the many often ignored BMW parts that are essential for safe driving are the BMW backup lights. The BMW backup lights are just two of the many lights that surround a BMW, each with a particular function to perform. And while the backup lights may be the last entry in most vehicle owner’s list of important parts, one cannot deny their importance for safe driving.
The backup lights actually perform two important functions. First, the backup lights are essential when driving your vehicle backwards. Backup lights make everything at the rear end of your vehicle look visible, especially when driving at night or during low visibility conditions. Most stock vehicle backup lights, however, don’t shed too much light, requiring you to add additional backup floodlights to make everything behind your vehicle clearly visible.
Backup lights also serves as warning devices whenever you decide to drive your vehicle backward. Also often called the reverse lights, backup lights have an integrated switch on your vehicle’s transmission that is activated whenever you shift into reverse gear. For this reason, backup lights are energized only when you hit the reverse gear. In the process, it also functions to warn any person or vehicle behind your vehicle that you are moving backward. Some backup lights even have blinking bulbs to attract more attention. Aftermarket and custom backup lights also integrate a beeping sound with the light to further warn others of your decision to drive your vehicle backwards.
As BMW backup lights are essential in your BMW driving, you must ensure that each pair of backup lights that your vehicle has are in proper working conditions. If not, you better replace them with new BMW backup lights. Here at Parts Train, we offer BMW backup lights and BMW backup light bulbs that you can use to replace a stock BMW backup light. We also have custom BMW beeping backup lights and backup floodlights that can further enhance the performance of your regular BMW backup lights.
