If you can't get your radio to locate local stations, you may need a new Hummer antenna.  An antenna in poor condition cannot receive radio waves as effectively as it once had.  One sure sign that your antenna has gone bad is excessive sounds of static on the few radio stations, if any, that you're able to pick up.  Not having access to local radio stations is not only frustrating; it can also be dangerous.  Think about it: no radio reception means limited to no access to traffic updates or weather reports.  If this is the case, you would be completely unaware of flash flood warnings in your area and traffic jams on your regular route to work.  At the very least, you would cause yourself some unnecessary aggravation; at the most, you could potentially put yourself or your family in harms way.  Don't wait until it's too late to replace a broken antenna.  The information supplied by your local stations could prove to be invaluable someday.
