Featuring VVTi engines and beams tuning, it led the competition in the its segment, making it Japan’s Car of the Year. Two versions were offered in the market: the AS200, which was powered by an inline-6 DOHC 24v VVT engine and the RS00, which was equipped with an inline-4 DOHC 16v VVTi engine. For the European market, only the AS200 variant was available, though it got a Lexus badge. It came in three level trims: the S, SE and the Sport.
