Cadillac AC Compressor |
Can you imagine driving a Cadillac and getting too exhausted after the drive? If you can, it means that you have great imagination skills and that you can make a good fantasy movie someday. Why? Because getting exhausted while driving a Cadillac is simply unimaginable. Equipped with plush interior amenities plus a high quality Cadillac auto air conditioning system, there's no way that you will fill any discomfort inside a Cadillac; except maybe if the Cadillac AC compressor or other AC components gets damaged.
The Cadillac AC compressor is the central component, or the heart as other people would call it, of the auto air conditioning system of your Cadillac. It is a mechanical pump that is driven by a belt fastened to the vehicle's engine. To engage, and disengage, the compressor to the compressor belt, the AC system makes use of an electromagnetic clutch called the compressor clutch. Once engaged, the AC compressor would then begin with its function, which is to regulate the flow of refrigerant throughout the various parts of the AC system.
Your Cadillac's auto air conditioning system, and all other auto AC systems for that matter, can be split in two sides: the high pressure side and the low pressure side. The AC compressor lies in the logical center of these two sides, transferring refrigerant from one side to the other and back to the side where it originated. In particular, the Cadillac compressor would take in the low-pressure refrigerant from the evaporator or the accumulator, both of which belongs to the low pressure side, and compress it into a high temperature and high pressure gas. Once compressed, the compressor would then discharge it to the condenser for cooling before it is pumped back to the evaporator.
The refrigerant must be able to circulate through the various parts of your Cadillac's AC system properly for it to absorb heat in the passenger compartment and release it to the outside air efficiently. If the Cadillac AC compressor is greatly damaged, there is no way for the refrigerant to achieve this. So if the AC system of your Cadillac is no longer working properly, there is great reason for you to doubt that the Cadillac AC compressor is causing the problem. And if you don't want this problem to cause much discomfort while driving, you better replace the damaged AC compressor of your Cadillac at once.
